SCIENCE FACTS

WHY DO WE SLEEP?

During sleep, your muscles relax, your breathing slows, and your heart rate decreases.
Sleep is your body's way of resting after a day of thinking and moving. If you miss a night's sleep, your reactions will slow and you'll feel pretty cranky. Your brain doesn't turn off completely when you sleep, which is why you dream.
Scientists aren't sure if dreams have a purpose, or they're just the mind's way of blowing off steam. Either way, they're pretty weird and cool. try writing your dreams down after you have them, so you won't forget!
